Hello,
I'm Kevin. What do I like to do, what interests me? Well, I'm a
car buff if you hadn't noticed, especially Ford Mustangs and
Cobras. I suppose I should mentions old T-Birds and Cougars for
that matter, as well as trucks and... well you get the idea. I'm
also an avid hockey fan. I follow the Pittsburgh Penguins (Go
Pens).
I also like to be outside. I like the woods, hiking, skiing, camping, backpacking, canoeing, swimming, hunting, archery and bikes. I don't really care to mow grass though. I also enjoy art, I like to paint, draw and do some calligraphy. I collect ancient weapons, swords in particular. I enjoy reading fantasy, people like Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkin, David Drake, Janny Wurtz, Raymond Feist, and perhaps my favorite Stephen Lawhead. I also enjoy Robert Frost, the Far Side and Calvin and Hobbs.
As for music, I listen to Country, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, and Classical. I also do a little gaming on the computer, Starcraft, NHL98, Railroad Tycoon II, and Age of Empires are on my current play list.
I'm
a pastor if you hadn't figured that out yet. A member of the Church of the
Brethren. I'm committed to being a
believer in the contemporary context of our world. I'm convinced
that the church has a message that needs to be told. A message of
love, forgiveness, peace, hope and trust. It seems to me that
this is more important with each day. There are some who would
say that the church is irrelevant today. And in some cases that
is true, but that does not mean that the God we serve is
irrelevant or uninterested in the world. We seem to have a
tendency to make things complicated, faith included. But it is at
it's essence very simple, it is about relationships. First a
relationship with God, and secondly relationships with each other
that are right and healthy.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of these things, send me an email and let me know what you think Just say, "Hey Kevin, this is what I think."
